Landscape plan - ground floor
Yukata Suites, Alam Sutera

Taking inspiration from the simple, natural elemental design of contemporary Japanese gardens, the landscape for Yukata Suites aims to revive the senses and provide a refreshing contrast to urban life

Separated from the car park by clipped hedges, the cafe terrace overlooks a reflective pool in which the staggered grid of island planters and stepping stones is interrupted by a rugged natural stone sculpture. The rhythmic geometry of this pattern extends across the driveways and drop of zone as alternating strips of contrasting materials which integrate paving and planting. The pattern also extends vertically, in the form of timber boundary fences and the screens which enclose the pool house and children’s play.
The landscapes of the third floor swimming pools and 10th floor terrace are crisply detailed with rectangular forms, timber decks, bold stepping stones and planters - all set against dramatic green walls, clipped hedges, tall timber screens and sculptural features to create a richly textured sensual landscape which balances comfort with Zen minimalism.
