Sumatran Tiger Conservation, Cisarua.

An upland centre designed for the conservation and breeding of the endangered Sumatran Tiger.

Funded by a number of zoos from around the world, the centre will help to preserve the genetic diversity of the tiger, while also providing an educational resource for Indonesian school children. The Sumatran Tiger Conservation Centre has a spectacular mountain side location within Taman Safari, Puncak, with dramatic views eastwards to Mount Pangrango and westwards to the city of Bogor.

The masterplan is designed to ensure that the buildings, footpaths and roads are aligned along this east-west axis so that there is every opportunity for visitors to appreciate the superb landscape setting. It must also meet the specific requirements for tiger conservation.
