Bidex, CBD, BSD (Lot VIIA)
Inspired by the dark skeletal structure of the architectural form, this design for the landscape of a mixed use block is based on the bold concepts of juxtaposition and displacement. It expresses a spirit of optimism and inspiration
The layered terraces of vegetation create strong horizontal forms, which contrast with the dark vertical blocks at the core of the building and contribute to the perception that it is ‘anchored’ to the ground.
In the entrance foyer, a central water cascade and dynamic paving together expresses the idea of creativity at the source of life, which sparks radiating ripples of energy. Bubbling fountain jets and rills of water spread out to nurture the gardens along the frontage of the building.
On the 6th floor, a garden terrace wraps around the building, with seating walls, water table and timber decks for performance and viewing. The 15th floor roof deck has an huge infinity pool, a dramatic colourful sports court and series of cosy seating nooks for BBQ, relaxing and socialising.
