Metland Menteng
Landscape for an exclusive new residential cluster which is designed with young families in mind
A network of pedestrian pathways connects a series of themed greenspaces including children’s playgrounds, water features, a tree house, BBQ and an outdoor theatre - plus a jogging track, outdoor gym and reflexology path along the connecting routes.
There is a strong hierarchical grid of greenspaces. Street corridors are typically designed as shared spaces in which pedestrians (and children playing) have priority over cars. As each house has a front garden, there are opportunities for extensive tree planting, providing shade and a distinctive character for each street.  Overall the planting strategy creates a distinctive sense of place at the scale of each street and a comfortable, attractive landscape for families to enjoy.
